1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

Notes and content: All notes, checklists, folders, and tags you create
Reminders: Time-based and location-based reminder settings
Preferences: App settings like theme, language, and backup options

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

We do not automatically collect any personal information. The app does not include analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, advertising networks, or user tracking mechanisms.

2. How Your Information Is Stored

2.1 Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using Room Database (SQLite), SharedPreferences, and Internal Storage for backup files.

2.2 Encryption

Backups are encrypted using AES-256-GCM with keys stored in the Android Keystore. The encryption key never leaves your device.

2.3 Location Data

Location data is used only for geofencing reminders. Location is processed by Google Play Services on your device. We do not store or transmit your location history.

3. How Your Information Is Used

Your information is used solely to:

✅ Send reminder notifications at scheduled times
✅ Trigger location-based reminders when you arrive/leave a place
✅ Create calendar events when you request it
✅ Create encrypted backups on your device

Your information is never used to:

❌ Show personalized advertisements
❌ Build user profiles
❌ Train machine learning models
❌ Sell to third parties

4. Information Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties.

The only exceptions are:

Google Play Services: Used for location (geofencing) functionality. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
Device Calendar Provider: Used for calendar integration, handled by your device OS

5. Data Retention

Notes and data: Stored until you delete them
Trash: Automatically deleted after 30 days
Backups: Stored until you delete them manually
Reminders: Removed after they are triggered or cancelled

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Access Your Data

View all your notes and data within the app. Export your data to TXT or Markdown files.

6.2 Delete Your Data

Delete individual notes (moved to Trash), empty the Trash to permanently delete, or uninstall the app to remove all data.

6.3 Control Permissions

Revoke any permission in your device Settings. The app will continue to work with reduced features.

7. Children's Privacy

QColorNotes+ does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and is rated "Everyone" on the Google Play Store.

8. Security

We implement appropriate security measures:

Encrypted backups using Android Keystore
No network transmission of your data
No third-party SDKs with data collection
Regular security updates

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on our website. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
